One of the most popular subjects of Ukiyo-e is a portrait of a beautiful woman called bijin-ga. This series of works depicting beautiful women of the Edo period are presented in a modern NAGA style.

This work is based on a painting of a famous Edo beauty named Naniwa-ya 'Okita', one of Utamaro's six most famous beauties.
